To that end, it draws on examples of the use of documents in the investigation of recent cases linked to corruption. The purpose of this account is to highlight the importance this type of information carrier can have in preventing and clarifying such cases, and with it the need to regulate and improve records management practice in Chile, especially in the sphere of public administration.
